@HerrGammelig That 'does' sound cool, but it would be a nightmare to keep those different designs working throughout all the inevitable changes the site is going through. All the extra work would be hard to justify when the site's unofficial tagline could be "We're down 2.7 billion dollars!"*
(Not even YouTube is doing that, despite being owned by one of the most wealthiest companies on the planet - and they are about the number one website that would benefit from bringing back the old look the most...)

@Yatsufusa Well sadly for me, I can't read that thread as I have yet to attain the supporter status, but of course in case maintaining all of those different designs would be as costly as you say it'd be, Fulp could just hold it to a vote whether to roll the design back to an earlier era or to keep the new one. I'm thinking maybe as far back as early 2007 with a few other miscellaneous extra aesthetic designs thrown in maybe as a measure to keep the old designs from instantly winning (you'd be surprised how many people can end up being blinded by nostalgia.)

Take all this with a grain of salt. I don't know or expect Fulp to do this. It's just a relatively casual top-of-the-head proposition.

There's not much more to the quote. The thread is titled "MORE NEWGROUNDS TAGLINES" and the author playfully asks for alternative NG taglines. The suggestion "We're down 2.7 billion dollars!" came from Royal-Harmonica.

I generally like the idea and I too miss the design from the mid 2000s. But I think mobile users would get a stroke. ;3
